Wearing a Princess Dress

While doing my morning ritual surfing around on Danish newspaper’s websites i found theses articles “Mor med prinsessekjole smidt ud af Disneyland”(mom in princess dress thrown out of disneyland) and “Prinsessekjoler forbudt i Disneyland”(princessgowns prohibited in disneyland). they are both about Disney parks rules regarding guest arriving at the park dressed in princess or other realistic Disney park costume

a mother and child traveled from England to Disneyland, but when trying to enter the parks both dressed as princesses they were turned away and had to go back to their hotel and change, the mother now demands an apology from the Disney company even although the costume rule is written down along side other prohibited items at the entrance to the parks items like alcohol and firearms

Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as a costume (children under age 10 are excluded)

from my own experience working in Disney, i have seen this rule being enforced as i once saw a 100% realistic store trooper(star wars) walking around in fantastyland and writing autographs but as the Disney rule is characters are only allowed to walk around in areas that they belong to.

as a the storm trooper did not in any way belonged in fantasy land he was approached by park security and as he was a guest how had dressed up after entering the park he was escorted out of the park by security

the main problem for Disney is that guest in Disney park costumes can often not be identified if they steal or in any other way do things while in costume that can be morally questionable

other guest would perceive the guest dressed in a costume as a real Disney employee hence making Disney responsible for the guest actions

is personally see this rule as a reasonable rule
